The Mustangs got off to a 3-0 lead before the Cougars would rally, lead by junior captain Julian Delgado who assisted fellow junior Emiliano “Leno” Marquez who opened his account for the season. Moments later Senior Oscar Diaz Carrasco would keep the play alive to give junior Anthony “Bruh” Brozell an opportunity to put away the second goal.
