Paulding County Patriots (Dallas, GA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Darlington Tigers (Rome, GA), 10-9 in a non-league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they host South Paulding for a 6A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, August 23. Paulding County will face a Spartans squad coming off a 7-6 league win over Newnan (Newnan, GA). The Spartans record now stands at 3-2.

With the loss, Darlington falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Dade County (Trenton, GA) to face the Wolverines in a 1A D-I Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, August 23. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 3-5. Dade County lost 3-2 in their recent non-league challenge against LaFayette (LaFayette, GA)
