In Tuesday's non-league battle, the host Waynedale Golden Bears soccer squad scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Hiland Hawks.

The Golden Bears (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Norwayne (Creston, OH). The Bobcats go into the Wayne County bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Norwayne was nipped by Buckeye (Medina, OH), 2-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Mansfield Christian Flames (Mansfield, OH) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 1. Hiland will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record.
