In Tuesday's non-league outing, the host Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes softball team scored a close 3-2 win over the Bethlehem Christian Academy Knights.

Coming up next, the Purple Hurricanes battle the Lambert Longhorns (Suwanee, GA) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, August 26. Monroe Area will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record. The Longhorns enter the outing with a 6-0 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Pope (Marietta, GA).

The Knights (2-3) will now prepare for their outing against Westlake (Atlanta, GA). The Lions enter the non-league outing with a 1-5 record. In their last outing, Westlake was nudged by East Coweta (Sharpsburg, GA), 16-0, in a league contest.
