Oak Forest Academy Yellowjackets (Amite, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Simpson Academy Cougars (Mendenhall, MS), 17-7 in a non-league challenge.
The Yellowjackets now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bowling Green for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 5.
With the loss, Simpson Academy falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to St. Aloysius (Vicksburg, MS) to battle the Flashes in a non-league challenge on Thursday, August 24. The Flashes enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. St. Aloysius lost 13-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Simpson Academy (Mendenhall, MS)
