North Carolina High School Football - Myers Park can't hold off Independence

August 22, 2024: Charlotte, NC 28209

The Independence Patriots got by the host Myers Park Mustangs football team by a score of 24-21 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots play the Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls (Harrisburg, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 30. Independence will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Ragin' Bulls go into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 40-6 non-league loss to Robinson (Concord, NC).

The Mustangs (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Hough (Cornelius, NC). The Huskies go into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Hough was edged by Northwestern (Rock Hill, SC), 45-44, in a non-league challenge.
