The Huntington Park Spartans football squad scored 26 points and limited the host Sylmar Spartans to 13 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Spartans now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Garfield for a test on Friday, September 20.

With the defeat, Sylmar drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Marshall (Los Angeles, CA) to meet the Barristers in a non-league test on Wednesday, August 28. The Barristers come into the test with a record of 0-0.
