In Thursday's non-league outing, the host East Carter Raiders soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Boyd County Lions.
The Raiders (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Mason County (Maysville, KY). The Royals go into the non-league outing with a 1-0 record. In their last outing, Mason County got by Pendleton County (Falmouth, KY), 4-0, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Lions play the Pikeville Panthers (Pikeville, KY) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, September 14. Boyd County will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Panthers go into the outing with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Oneida Baptist Institute (Oneida, KY).
