The Taylor County Cardinals smashed the visiting Somerset Christian Cougars soccer team by a tally of 5-1 in Thursday's non-league game.
Next, the Cardinals face the Marion County Knights (Lebanon, KY) in a District 18 game, on Tuesday, August 27. Taylor County will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Knights come into the game with a 4-0 record after their 6-0 non-league win over Grayson County (Leitchfield, KY).
The Cougars (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Casey County (Liberty, KY). The Rebels come into the non-league game with a 0-5 record. In their last game, Casey County by Anderson County (Lawrenceburg, KY), 6-0, in a non-league game.
