The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Towns County Indians (Hiawassee, GA) and the host East Jackson Eagles (Commerce, GA), observed Towns County's softball team get by East Jackson by a tally of 10-8.

The Indians (3-3) will now prepare for their bout against Gainesville (Gainesville, GA). The Red Elephants go into the non-league bout with a 4-4 record. In their last bout, Gainesville by Chattahoochee (Alpharetta, GA), 18-3, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Franklin County Lions (Carnesville, GA) in a 2A Region 8 bout, on Tuesday, August 27. East Jackson will attempt to advance on its 5-3 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 8-4 record after their 8-5 non-league win over Decatur (Decatur, GA).
