The Porter Pirates softball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Pawnee Black Bears to 5 in the Pirates non-league win on Thursday.

The Pirates now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dewar for a Class A battle on Thursday, August 22. Porter will confront a Dragons team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Cyril (Cyril, OK). The Dragons record now stands at 10-0.

With the loss, Pawnee moves to 2-6 on the season. The Black bears travel to Dewar (Dewar, OK) to confront the Dragons in a non-league battle on Friday, August 23. The Dragons come into the battle with a record of 11-0. Dewar won 13-1 in their recent league battle against Weleetka (Weleetka, OK)
