In Thursday's non-league challenge, the visiting San Marcos Royals volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Arroyo Grande Eagles.

The Royals (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against San Luis Obispo Classical Academy (San Luis Obispo, CA). The Grizzlies come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, San Luis Obispo Classical Academy edged Cabrillo (Lompoc, CA), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles play the Nipomo Titans (Nipomo, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, August 29. Arroyo Grande will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
