Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Christ Covenant Spartan (Winterville, NC) and the host Epiphany Falcons (New Bern, NC), observed Christ Covenant's volleyball team hold off Epiphany by a count of 3-2.

The Spartan (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Faith Christian Academy (Goldsboro, NC). The Conquerors enter the MACAA 2A contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Faith Christian Academy was tipped by Jacksonville Christian Academy (Jacksonville, NC), 1-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Falcons battle the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders (Belhaven, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, August 26. Epiphany will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record.
