In Thursday's non-league challenge, the host South Laurel Cardinals volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Clay County Tigers.

The Cardinals (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against McCreary Central (Stearns, KY). The Raiders come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, McCreary Central notched a victory over Casey County (Liberty, KY), 3-2, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Tigers battle the Bell County Bobcats (Pineville, KY) in a non-league contest, on Monday, August 26. Clay County will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record. The Bobcats enter the contest with a 2-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Perry County Central (Hazard, KY).
