The Newton-Conover Red Devils volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting North Wilkes Vikings to 2 in the Red Devils non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Red Devils now have a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to West Caldwell for a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A outing on Tuesday, August 27. Newton-Conover will play a Warriors team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Avery County (Newland, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, North Wilkes drops to 3-2 on the campaign. The Vikings host East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC) to play the Cardinals in a Foothills 2A outing on Tuesday, August 27. The Cardinals come into the outing with a record of 3-2. East Surry won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC)
