Porter Cowboys (Brownsville, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Rio Hondo Bobcats (Rio Hondo, TX), 3-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, Porter improves its record to 5-6 on the season. The Cowboys travel to San Benito (San Benito, TX) to face the Greyhounds in a non-league test on Friday, August 23. The Greyhounds go into the test with a record of 2-3. San Benito lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Laredo LBJ (Laredo, TX)

The Bobcats now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Weslaco for a non-league test on Friday, August 23. Rio Hondo will face a Panthers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Mission (Mission, TX). The Panthers record now stands at 4-6.
