Fans at Thursday's non-league contest between the Rocky Mount Gryphons (Rocky Mount, NC) and the visiting Tarboro Vikings (Tarboro, NC), observed Rocky Mount's volleyball team top Tarboro by a count of 3-0.

The Gryphons (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Bunn (Bunn, NC). The Wildcats enter the The Big East 2A/3A contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Bunn notched a victory over Louisburg (Louisburg, NC), 3-2, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Vikings battle the Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC) in a non-league contest, on Monday, August 26. Tarboro will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Trojans enter the contest with a 2-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Tarboro (Tarboro, NC).
