Pennsylvania High School Football - Armstrong nudged by Highlands

August 22, 2025: Kittanning, PA 16201

In Friday's non-league game, the Highlands Golden Rams (Natrona Heights, PA) football team edged the host Armstrong River Hawks (Kittanning, PA), by a tally of 31-28.

In their next game, the Golden Rams battle the Elizabeth Forward Warriors (Elizabeth, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, August 29. Highlands will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 28-14 non-league win over West Mifflin (West Mifflin, PA).

The River Hawks now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Hampton for a non-league bout on Friday, August 29. Armstrong will encounter a Talbots squad coming off a 24-14 non-league win over USO [University Prep/Sci-Tech/Obama Academy] (Pittsburgh, PA). The Talbots record now stands at 1-0.
