The Ashland Oredockers held off the visiting Rhinelander Hodags football squad by a count of 26-20 in Friday's non-league test.

The Oredockers now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lakeland for a non-league test on Friday, August 29. Ashland will meet a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 50-23 non-league win over Hayward/Lac Courte Oreilles (Hayward, WI). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Rhinelander drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Hodags host Hayward/Lac Courte Oreilles (Hayward, WI) to meet the Hurricanes in a non-league test on Friday, August 29.
