Kentucky High School Football - Barren County nudges Southwestern

The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Barren County Trojans (Glasgow, KY) and the visiting Southwestern Warriors (Somerset, KY), saw Barren County's football team nip Southwestern by a final score of 12-6.

With the win, Barren County advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Trojans travel to Glasgow (Glasgow, KY) to play the Scotties in a non-league battle on Friday, August 29. The Scotties go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Glasgow won 49-0 in their recent non-league match against Clay County (Celina, TN)

Next up, the Warriors play the Campbell County Camels (Alexandria, KY) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, August 30. Southwestern will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Camels go into the battle with a 1-0 record after their 58-40 non-league win over Scott (Covington, KY).
