California High School Football - Bishop Diego holds off Lancaster

The Bishop Diego Cardinals football squad scored 42 points and limited the host Lancaster Eagles to 40 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Friday.

The Cardinals now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Ranch for a non-league test on Friday, August 29. Bishop Diego will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 59-17 non-league loss to Pacifica (Oxnard, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Lancaster drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Newport Harbor (Newport Beach, CA) to face the Sailors in a non-league game on Friday, August 29. The Sailors enter the game with a record of 0-1. Newport Harbor lost 33-27 in their recent non-league game against Murrieta Mesa (Murrieta, CA)
