The Gallia Academy Blue Devils football team (Gallipolis, OH), dropped 31-17 in Friday's non-league bout with the visiting Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY)

With the win, Boyd County advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Lions travel to Rock Hill (Ironton, OH) to encounter the Redmen in a non-league contest on Friday, August 29. The Redmen enter the contest with a record of 1-0. Rock Hill won 34-13 in their recent non-league contest against Minford (Minford, OH)

Coming up next, the Blue Devils confront the Jackson Ironman/Ironladies (Jackson, OH) in a non-league contest, on Friday, August 29. Gallia Academy will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Ironman/Ironladies enter the contest with a 1-0 record after their 21-14 non-league win over Little Miami (Morrow, OH).
