The Lakers (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Murray (Murray, KY). The Tigers come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Murray walloped Apollo (Owensboro, KY), 48-34, in a non-league test.

With the defeat, Webster County drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Trojans host Muhlenberg County (Greenville, KY) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Friday, August 29. The Mustangs go into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Muhlenberg County won 18-0 in their recent non-league challenge against McLean County (Calhoun, KY)
