In Friday's non-league game, the Jackson Polar Bears (Massillon, OH) football team overcame the visiting Chardon Hilltoppers (Chardon, OH), by a tally of 35-13.

In their next game, the Polar Bears clash with the Austintown-Fitch Falcons (Youngstown, OH) in a non-league outing, on Friday, August 29. Jackson will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Falcons come into the outing with a 0-1 record after their 28-7 non-league loss to Hudson (Hudson, OH).

With the defeat, Chardon drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers travel to Cleveland Heights (Cleveland Heights, OH) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league game on Friday, August 29. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 0-1. Cleveland Heights lost 42-7 in their recent non-league game against Trotwood-Madison (Trotwood, OH)
