The Gordonsville Tigers football squad scored 21 points and limited the host Coalfield Yellow Jackets to 18 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Tigers now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Watertown for a non-league test on Friday, August 29. Gordonsville will meet a Purple Tigers squad coming off a 28-23 non-league loss to Smith County (Carthage, TN). The Purple Tigers record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Coalfield drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Yellow jackets host Stone Memorial (Crossville, TN) to meet the Panthers in a non-league test on Friday, August 29.
