In Friday's non-league game, the Saluda Tigers (Saluda, SC) football team were victorious over the visiting Crescent Tigers (Iva, SC), by a tally of 28-6.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans (Monetta, SC) in a non-league outing, on Friday, August 29. Saluda will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Trojans come into the outing with a 0-1 record after their 19-7 non-league loss to Dixie (Due West, SC).

With the defeat, Crescent drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Palmetto (Williamston, SC) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league game on Friday, August 29. The Mustangs enter the game with a record of 0-1. Palmetto lost 42-0 in their recent non-league game against Wren (Piedmont, SC)
