The Roosevelt Rough Riders football team (Honolulu, HI), was tipped 26-21 in Friday's non-league contest with the host Damien Monarchs (Honolulu, HI)

The Monarchs (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Punahou (Honolulu, HI). The Buff n' Blue enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Punahou was nudged by Lincoln (San Diego, CA), 57-29, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Rough Riders battle the Waialua Bulldogs (Waialua, HI) in a OIA II contest, on Friday, August 29. Roosevelt will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a 0-2 record after their 51-6 non-league loss to Eagle Valley (Gypsum, CO).
