    In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Daphne Trojans football squad scored a close 29-28 triumph over the McGill-Toolen Yellowjackets.

    The Trojans (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Pine Forest (Pensacola, FL). The Eagles go into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Pine Forest nipped Pensacola (Pensacola, FL), 29-0, in a non-league battle.

    The Yellowjackets now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Murphy for a 6A Region 1 battle on Friday, August 29. McGill-Toolen will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 35-6 non-league loss to Davidson (Mobile, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.
