In Friday's league outing, the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies (Elk Point, SD) football squad trounced the visiting Parker Pheasants (Parker, SD), by a margin of 61-19.

The Huskies now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mt. Vernon/Plankinton for a non-league game on Friday, September 5.

The Pheasants (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Beresford (Beresford, SD). The Watchdogs enter the Big East game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Beresford overwhelmed Baltic (Baltic, SD), 27-12, in a league game.
