In Friday's non-league battle, the host Mt. Vernon Wildcats football team scored a big 44-0 win over the Forest Park Rangers.

With the win, Mt. Vernon improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Boonville (Boonville, IN) to play the Pioneers in a Pocket - Big School battle on Friday, August 29. The Pioneers go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Boonville won 33-0 in their recent non-league battle against Paoli (Paoli, IN)
