In Friday's non-league game, the Gray's Creek Bears (Hope Mills, NC) football team edged the visiting Pine Forest Trojans (Fayetteville, NC), by a tally of 25-18.

Next, the Bears clash with the Westover Wolverines (Fayetteville, NC) in a non-league outing, on Friday, August 29. Gray's Creek will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Wolverines come into the outing with a 0-1 record after their 28-6 non-league loss to Union Pines (Cameron, NC).
