The Straughn Tigers were victorious over the visiting Highland Home Flying Squadron football team by a score of 40-12 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers face the T.R. Miller Tigers (Brewton, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 29. Straughn will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 1-0 record after their 35-21 non-league win over Reeltown (Notasulga, AL).

With the defeat, Highland Home drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Flying squadron host Charles Henderson (Troy, AL) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league outing on Friday, August 29. The Trojans come into the outing with a record of 0-1. Charles Henderson lost 51-27 in their recent non-league game against Chelsea (Chelsea, AL)
