Pennsylvania High School Football - Riverside crushed by Hopewell

The Hopewell Vikings overwhelmed the visiting Riverside Panthers football squad by a count of 56-0 in Friday's non-league test.

The Vikings now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host New Castle for a non-league test on Friday, August 29. Hopewell will meet a Hurricanes squad coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Penn Hills (Pittsburgh, PA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Riverside drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host New Brighton (New Brighton, PA) to meet the Lions in a WPIAL AA Midwestern challenge on Friday, September 19. The Lions go into the challenge with a record of 1-0.
