Spectators at Friday's non-league bout between the Los Alamitos Griffins (Los Alamitos, CA) and the host Kapolei Hurricanes (Kapolei, HI), saw Los Alamitos's football team nip Kapolei by a final score of 34-31.

With the win, Los Alamitos advances its record to 2-0 on the season. The Griffins travel to Narbonne (Harbor City, CA) to battle the Gauchos in a non-league contest on Thursday, August 28. The Gauchos enter the contest with a record of 0-1. Narbonne lost 42-6 in their recent non-league contest against Los Osos (Rancho Cucamonga, CA)

Coming up next, the Hurricanes battle the Kapa'a Warriors (Kapa'a, HI) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, August 30. Kapolei will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 36-29 non-league win over Farrington (Honolulu, HI).
