California High School Football - Kearny crushed by Mission Bay

August 22, 2025: San Diego, CA 92111

Mission Bay Buccaneers (San Diego, CA) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad smash the host Kearny Komets (San Diego, CA), 55-0 in a non-league match.

The Buccaneers (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Holtville (Holtville, CA). The Vikings come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Holtville routed West Hills (Santee, CA), 44-19, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Komets meet the Monte Vista Monarchs (Spring Valley, CA) in a non-league match, on Friday, August 29. Kearny will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Monarchs come into the match with a 1-0 record after their 36-13 non-league win over Crawford (San Diego, CA).
