North Carolina High School Football - Sun Valley edged by Lake Norman

August 22, 2025: Mooresville, NC 28117

In Friday's non-league game, the Lake Norman Wildcats (Mooresville, NC) football squad tipped the visiting Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC), by a margin of 20-16.

The Wildcats now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount Tabor for a non-league outing on Friday, August 29. Lake Norman will clash with a Spartans squad coming off a 14-0 non-league loss to Reagan (Pfafftown, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Sun Valley drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Mooresville (Mooresville, NC) to clash with the Blue Devils in a non-league outing on Friday, August 29. The Blue Devils come into the outing with a record of 0-1. Mooresville lost 31-10 in their recent non-league outing against Weddington (Matthews, NC)
