The Liberty Union Lions edged the visiting Monroe Central Seminoles football team by a score of 21-20 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions face the North Union Wildcats (Richwood, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, August 29. Liberty Union will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Wildcats come into the test with a 0-1 record after their 16-13 non-league loss to Pleasant (Marion, OH).

With the defeat, Monroe Central drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Seminoles host Bellaire (Bellaire, OH) to clash with the Big Reds in a non-league test on Friday, August 29. The Big Reds come into the test with a record of 1-0. Bellaire won 31-6 in their recent non-league test against Buckeye Local (Rayland, OH)
