Arizona High School Football - Tombstone thwarted by Miami

Miami Vandals (Miami, AZ) boosters were content Friday as they observed their football squad thwart the visiting Tombstone Yellow Jackets (Tombstone, AZ), 28-7 in a non-league match.

The Vandals (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Santa Rita (Tucson, AZ). The Eagles come into the non-league match with a 0-1 record. In their last match, Santa Rita was beaten by Catalina (Tucson, AZ), 36-6, in a non-league match.

Next, the Yellow Jackets meet the Pima Roughriders (Pima, AZ) in a non-league test, on Friday, August 29. Tombstone will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Roughriders go into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 33-6 non-league loss to Scottsdale Christian Academy (Phoenix, AZ).
