Pocono Mountain West Panthers (Pocono Summit, PA) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Scranton Knights (Scranton, PA), 38-19 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Pocono Mountain West improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Panthers host Lenape Valley (Stanhope, NJ) to meet the Patriots in a non-league test on Thursday, August 28. The Patriots come into the test with a record of 0-0.

With the defeat, Scranton drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Wyoming Valley West (Plymouth, PA) to meet the Spartans in a non-league test on Friday, August 29. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 0-1. Wyoming Valley West lost 31-20 in their recent non-league test against Williamsport (Williamsport, PA)
