The Tuscarawas Valley Trojans got by the host Waynedale Golden Bears football squad by a count of 21-20 in Friday's non-league test.
The Trojans now hold a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Coshocton for a non-league test on Friday, August 29. Tuscarawas Valley will meet a Redskins squad coming off a 31-7 non-league loss to Ridgewood (West Lafayette, OH). The Redskins record now stands at 0-1.
With the defeat, Waynedale drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Golden bears host Fairless (Navarre, OH) to meet the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Friday, August 29. The Falcons go into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Fairless won 50-13 in their recent non-league challenge against Sandy Valley (Magnolia, OH)
