The El Modena Vanguards flag football team (Orange, CA), dropped 27-7 in Friday's non-league bout with the visiting Esperanza Aztecs (Anaheim, CA)

With the win, Esperanza advances its record to 8-1 on the season. The Aztecs travel to Mission Viejo (Mission Viejo, CA) to encounter the Diablos in a non-league contest on Saturday, August 23. The Diablos enter the contest with a record of 2-4. Mission Viejo lost 8-6 in their recent non-league contest against Fullerton (Fullerton, CA)

Coming up next, the Vanguards battle the Trabuco Hills Mustangs (Mission Viejo, CA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, August 26. El Modena will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record.
