In Friday's non-league outing, the host Mayfield Trojans soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 win over the Artesia Bulldogs.
The Trojans (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Goddard (Roswell, NM). The Rockets enter the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Goddard by Roswell (Roswell, NM), 7-1, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Silver Fighting Colts (Silver City, NM) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 23. Artesia will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Fighting Colts come into the test with a 1-2 record after their 5-0 non-league win over Hatch Valley (Hatch, NM).
