San Marcos Knights (San Marcos, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the host Clairemont Chieftains (San Diego, CA), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Sweetwater (National City, CA). The Red Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record.

Next up, the Chieftains face the Morse Tigers (San Diego, CA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, August 26. Clairemont will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Tigers go into the game with a 2-7 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Escondido (Escondido, CA).
