The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Aurora Huskies (Aurora, NE) and the visiting Gering Bulldogs (Gering, NE), saw Aurora's softball squad nip Gering by a score of 4-2.

With the triumph, Aurora improves its record to 2-2 on the year. The Huskies host Malcolm (Malcolm, NE) to face the Clippers in a non-league contest on Friday, August 22. The Clippers enter the contest with a record of 1-0. Malcolm won 7-2 in their recent non-league contest against Auburn (Auburn, NE)

The Bulldogs now hold a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Norris for a non-league match on Friday, August 22. Gering will battle a Titans team coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Gretna (Gretna, NE). The Titans record now stands at 0-1.
