Colorado High School Softball - Mead gets by Grand Junction

In Friday's non-league bout, the Mead Mavericks (Longmont, CO) softball team held off the host Grand Junction Tigers (Grand Junction, CO), by a tally of 6-5.

With the triumph, Mead improves its record to 1-2 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Rocky Mountain (Fort Collins, CO) to face the Lobos in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 23. The Lobos go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Rocky Mountain lost 13-10 in their recent non-league bout against Horizon (Thornton, CO)

In their next game, the Tigers face the Discovery Canyon Thunder (Colorado Springs, CO) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, August 23. Grand Junction will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Thunder enter the contest with a 0-1 record after their 8-3 non-league loss to Vista Ridge (Colorado Springs, CO).
