The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Hennessey Eagles (Hennessey, OK) and the visiting Luther Lions (Luther, OK), observed Hennessey's softball team get by Luther by a tally of 2-1.
The Eagles (4-3) will now prepare for their bout against Fairview (Fairview, OK). The Yellowjackets go into the 2A bout with a 1-4 record.
Next up, the Lions face the Wellston Tigers (Wellston, OK) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 4. Luther will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record.
