The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Hillgrove Hawks (Powder Springs, GA) and the host Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA), observed Hillgrove's softball team get by Lumpkin County by a tally of 9-7.

The Hawks (6-4) will now prepare for their bout against North Cobb Christian (Kennesaw, GA). The Eagles go into the non-league bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, North Cobb Christian tipped Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe (Fort Oglethorpe, GA), 8-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, August 23. Lumpkin County will attempt to move on its 8-2 season record.
