Texas High School Volleyball - McKinney Boyd edged by Austin

Austin Maroons (Austin, TX) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their volleyball squad nudge the visiting McKinney Boyd Broncos (McKinney, TX), 2-1 in a non-league test.

With the win, Austin improves its record to 15-0 on the season. The Maroons travel to Midway (Waco, TX) to meet the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, August 23. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 10-2. Midway won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Wilson (Dallas, TX)

Next, the Broncos meet the Plano West Wolves (Plano, TX) in a 6A Region I District 6 challenge, on Tuesday, August 26. McKinney Boyd will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Wolves go into the test with a 12-2 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Southlake Carroll (Southlake, TX).
