The Zapata Hawks volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting Bishop Badgers to 0 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Friday.
The Hawks now sport a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Holmes for a non-league bout on Friday, August 29. Zapata will clash with a Huskies team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Taft (San Antonio, TX). The Huskies record now stands at 4-9.
With the loss, Bishop drops to 1-8 on the campaign. The Badgers travel to Ingleside (Ingleside, TX) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league match on Saturday, August 23. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 2-9. Ingleside lost 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Martin (Laredo, TX)
