The Coronado Mustangs volleyball squad (Lubbock, TX), was edged 2-1 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Weatherford Kangaroos (Weatherford, TX)

With the win, Weatherford moves its record to 10-6 on the year. The Kangaroos travel to Canyon (Canyon, TX) to battle the Eagles in a non-league contest on Friday, August 22. The Eagles enter the contest with a record of 4-5. Canyon won 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Midland Legacy (Midland, TX)

Next, the Mustangs battle the Birdville Hawks (North Richland Hills, TX) in a non-league battle, on Friday, August 22. Coronado will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Hawks go into the battle with a 5-4 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Martin (Arlington, TX).
